There is certification that you can do as you are on the job, but I am not sure how it works. For example local districts providing opportunities, but how do you get the job if you are not certified? Since I didn't major in education I do not know how to lesson plan, which worries me as well. I do have a year of substitute teaching under my belt, but nothing more than that. 2. When and if I become a teacher, how do you guys get supplies such as posters and worksheets? I have heard of teachers pay teachers for worksheets and some other materials. The school provides textbooks correct? 3. How many hours are spent outside of contract hour? I have seen some teachers spend so many extra hours then I have seen others who limit that time for their mental health. What has been a good balance for you guys? If any. 4. Would it be beneficial to try to become a teacher's aid/paraeducator first? 5. Any tips for interviewing and looking for available jobs when and if the time comes? 6. Do they give you help to understand programs that you have to use?
After I saw it, I called my mom and told her that it was one of the best films I have seen. It is the kind of film where, if you were an actor, you would want to see it. I knew that I liked it and I knew that I understood parts of it but I also knew that there would be many people who would say "Oh, it is about this" when it is really an individual's perspective. It is going to encourage and promote discussion and that is always interesting when people can talk about cinema. I wanted to wrap up by asking about a couple of interesting projects that you have coming up very soon. The first is "Green Room, " the new film from Jeremy Saulnier (" Blue Ruin ") that debuted to great acclaim at Cannes last year and which is opening next month. "Green Room" is a film about Nazi skinheads and a punk rock group stuck in a tiny room. Jeremy is an extraordinary director and I was lucky to be a part of it. I loved playing that role deeply. It is essentially a film about people in close quarters, and I think it has a sort of "Lord of the Flies" element to it in terms of how the characters emerge under the circumstances.
